Equipment:
We use Canon's L-series Lenses, among the most highly regarded among professional photographers. In fact, our lenses are often more expensive and much higher quality than other area photographers' camera systems. We use Canon's 70-200mm f2.8/L IS lens during the ceremony. This lens has a built in image stabilizer and high maximum aperture and permits us to take quality indoor photos with out using a flash. This is critical in some churches that do not allow the use of a flash during the ceremony.
Additionally, we use one of Canon's "full frame" professional digital cameras, the EOS 5D. This allows the aforementioned professional lenses to be used as they were designed without a conversion factor or focal length magnifier. The "full frame" camera works well in low light conditions such as sunset, dusk, or inside a church and produces smooth background blur.
Some other photographers in the area use cameras, lenses, or other equipment that are inferior in quality, such as cameras that have "cropped" sensors. The equipment choices your photographer makes are extremely important and have a big impact on the quality of your wedding photos.
